Latex Printing

What Is Latex Printing?

Latex printing is a modern, water-based technology that combines pigmented inks with water-soluble polymers. During printing, microscopic droplets are jetted onto the substrate; the printed material is then heated so the ink cures rapidly, allowing immediate post-processing. The result is an odour-free, instantly dry print with high colour brilliance.
Latex printing is used for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, especially durable, large-format products such as banners, decals, wallcoverings, fabrics and textiles.

Benefits and Areas of Use

Latex printing is especially compatible with flexible, coated materials such as synthetic papers, films and technical non-wovens. Key characteristics include:

  • Water-based, odour-free inks

  • High print quality and colour vibrancy

  • UV-stable, water-resistant and scratch-resistant

  • Ideal for outdoor use

  • Rapid ink curing enables immediate further processing

These features make latex printing an excellent choice for advertising graphics, decorative surfaces and technical markings.
