Smooth non-woven paper is a particularly fine-structured material with a homogeneous surface. It is made from natural or synthetic fibers that are bonded mechanically, thermally or chemically. In addition, it is fully impregnated and often pigmented or even coated to optimize whiteness, opacity and dimensional stability. The fibers can be applied in single or dual-layer configurations – enabling specific product characteristics, such as in so-called “V-non-wovens”, where the fiber composition differs between the front and reverse sides.
This advanced processing results in a smooth, even surface, making smooth non-woven paper ideal as a carrier material for both technical and decorative applications, such as wallpapers, wall coverings or specialty papers.
