Manager Development Laboratory m/f/d

What we expect from you:

In view of a prospective retirement, we would like to ensure an orderly handover now. We are therefore looking for an independent personality who can take over the position of Head of our Development Laboratory. Ideally, you will have a solid background as a paper engineer, supplemented by several years of professional experience in product development for paper production or paper finishing. Alternatively, applicants with a background as a master papermaker or chemical engineer are also welcome. Your ability to develop and successfully implement innovative solutions is particularly valued. Teamwork and communication skills are just as important to us as a structured, goal-orientated and pragmatic way of working, good analytical skills, technical understanding and a high level of problem-solving competence. Very good written and spoken German and English skills are essential for this position. In this role you will report directly to the Head of Product Development.

Your tasks at Lahnpaper:

• Responsible management of development tasks / development projects in the context of the production of speciality papers / non-wovens
• Management and organisation of ongoing operations in the development laboratory (incl. personnel responsibility)
• Development, planning, preparation and evaluation of laboratory work
• Planning, preparation and realisation of production trials in coordination with the Head of Product Development and Production
• Documentation of the results
• Technological consulting and support of the sales department in the recording of customer requirements / customer needs
• Accompanying important machine trials at customer sites
• Participation in the discussion of new technologies for the production and finishing of speciality papers / wet laid non-wovens
• Supporting production with regard to process and production improvements
• Co-operation with purchasing / suppliers to qualify new or alternative raw materials
• Support in the implementation and documentation of internal audits
• Master data / recipe maintenance in the internal ERP system
