We inspire the market, our customers and partners with new possibilities

LAHNPAPER – Speciality papers and non-wovens from Lahnstein

Speciality papers and non-wovens for graphical, technical and security-related applications

Lahnpaper is a speciality paper manufacturer with 115 years of manufacturing expertise, shaped by German engineering. We develop, produce and distribute fibre-based materials specifically designed as base materials for coating, printing and further processing.

Our products operate at the intersection of paper, textiles/non-wovens and films. Lahnpaper is not a conventional paper manufacturer. Instead, we develop high-performance fibre materials across all three categories – tailored to the specific requirements of each application.

Our product portfolio provides solutions for industrial applications, the printing industry, wallcoverings and document security. Our customers share a common expectation: materials must fulfil multiple functions such as tear resistance, printability, durability and special haptic features.

With many years of experience, a high level of vertical integration and a clear commitment to quality, we deliver customised solutions for national and international markets.
As part of Kajo Neukirchen Management und Beteiligungs-GmbH, LAHNPAPER stands for expertise, reliability and strong development capabilities.

Expertise in the development and processing of fibre-based materials

Our speciality papers and non-wovens are engineered to meet defined properties such as strength, stability, processability and durability. This results in materials that are precisely tailored to technical requirements and subsequent processing steps.

We produce basis weights ranging from 30 to 300 g/m² in various thicknesses and bulk levels. Smaller production runs from 5 tonnes are also possible.

Machinery

Our versatile machinery enables the production and finishing of speciality papers and non-wovens across multiple process steps – from the production of base paper and base non-wovens through impregnation, smoothing and surface finishing to customer-specific converting as roll or sheet material.

The inclined wire paper machine ensures uniform fibre distribution and homogeneous sheet formation – even with blends of pulp and high proportions of synthetic fibres – thereby enabling the production of high-bulk materials.
