pretex® – The specialty paper for reliable performance under stress

Many applications require a material to meet several demands at the same time. It must be easy to print and convert while withstanding moisture, mechanical stress, temperature fluctuations and long service life. pretex® was developed specifically for this combination of requirements. This impregnated specialty paper is made from selected cellulose pulps and synthetic fibres based on polyamide and polyester. A special impregnation process gives the paper its exceptional wet and dry strength while retaining the familiar look, feel and convertibility of paper. pretex® can be printed using established printing technologies and can be folded, die-cut, glued or sewn without requiring major changes to existing production processes. As a result, pretex® bridges the gap between standard paper and film: paper-like in processing, yet exceptionally durable and resistant in use.
