Many construction applications require an interlayer or carrier material with defined properties such as absorbency, tear resistance, air permeability or thermal durability to contribute to the stability and functionality of the final product.
For converters and manufacturers, varitess® offers practical advantages in day-to-day production. The material integrates easily into existing manufacturing processes and can be processed reliably, whether printing, impregnating or coating.
Non-wovens are used as carrier, laminating or functional layers in acoustic elements, roofing membranes, polystyrene insulation boards and resilient flooring systems. They help stabilise multilayer constructions, improve surface quality, and facilitate laminating and coating processes.
Whether laminating, bonding, embossing or coating, varitess® can be further processed using a variety of converting techniques and customised to meet specific application requirements.
The non-wovens are typically available in basis weights ranging from approximately 30 to 200 g/m² and in roll widths of up to 260 cm. Additional specifications can be tailored to individual project requirements.
