Plants play a key role in sustainability and the protection of nature. They filter the air we breathe, provide homes for numerous living creatures, and stabilise our climate. Naturally, sustainability means more than just appreciating plants – it also requires use of resources consciously and responsibly. This includes using environmentally friendly products, such as sustainable and recyclable plant labels.
The Material
lahnur® combines durability, recyclability and sustainability to perfection and is produced using more than 80% renewable raw materials. The material has a distinctive feel and is ideal for reuse and/or longer use. lahnur® can be printed using all standard printing technologies, can be processed as desired, e.g. grooving, creasing, and folding) and is available with FSC® certification.

The application
Sustainable labels are made of materials that can be reused. In this way, resource consumption is minimised, and waste is reduced. Their use supports the circular economy concept and makes an important contribution to protecting the environment.
Sustainability plays an increasingly significant role for Hermann Meyer KG’s customers. Since the beginning of 2023, Meyer labels together with Lahnpaper to create sustainable labels in the sector plant labels. Recyclable labels made of lahnur® have been implemented in their assortment since then. These are suitable for short to medium term labelling and are printed using thermal transfer.

A family-owned business the Hermann Meyer KG specialises in specialist wholesale trade, as well as manufacturing products for the Horticultural sector.
Since 1955 the company has been producing a wide range of different labels. the range extends from loop, strip, hanging and adhesive labels and are available in printed and unprinted form through ti engraved signs and tree numbering. With their experience they have expanded into other sectors including customers in the steel, automative and concrete industries relying on the durability and high quality of Meyer labels for accurate labelling of their components.
